EX3 Firmware Upgrade
Hi Kids...
I think it's time to upgrade the firmware on my EX3 but I have a couple of questions. (I've checked the threads but can't find the answer...) How do I check to see what the current firmware version is? I recall there being some little push this/hold that trick to do so. Absent an answer to the above...My EX3 is about two years old. The firmware I want to upgrade to is 1.15. I can do that upgrade on my own, right? No "in between" updates that make this a problem? I have read the instructions, including all the rigamaroll to get to the USB port, but are there any little tricks I need to know. I will be doing it from a 10.6.6 Snow Leopard iMac. Getting "under the hood" always makes me itchy so thanks for any advice. L |

To get into Maintenance Menu:
Hold down the 'Select' and 'Cancel' buttons and while holding them down, click the menu button. I believe the firmware version can be seen when in this mode. |

Tried this...does not work. I found it on another page. Hold down Menu+Sel/Set+Cancel buttons in that order and scroll down to IC Menu.
Thanks |

Do you really need to do the upgrade?
If you do, you’ll end up loosing about 8-10 minutes recording time on a 32G pro’ sxs card and a bit less on a 16G card. |
