Bo, You are correct, the Samurai will be a better solution for EX1/EX1R/EX3 or any camcorder with HDSDI connectivity!

I wonder why both are missing 1080 29.97p, 720 23.98p & 720 29.97p. For me, 29.97p is mandatory since most of my material goes to broadcast. And no, I will never record interlaced even though most broadcast is either 1080 60i or 480 60i.
People need to realize the bitrate difference Pro Res uses at various frame rates and image size. For example, I believe 720 30p uses only 88Mb/s in ProRes HQ. |
