why doesn't ex1r battery have same standby as Z1's ones?

when I leave both camcorders unused, I find that the Z1 batteries retain a good standby, meaning I can still use the camcorder after many days

the Ex1r, instead, dies completely after just a few days

is this normal? has anyone noticed this?

It has been previously reported that EX1 (and also EX3) appear to drain batteries even when unused. Recommended to not leave batteries in equipment when not being used.

Just a few days? That really does sound like an excessive drain and it could well be worth talking to Sony about this. Does the battery get warm at all?

well actually I need to check... some days but definitely less than the Z1's...
I want to check now..I fully charged it yesterday and want to see how many days it holds the charge...

how many it should be? (I am talking about the small battery that comes with the Ex1r)
I read that the problem was in early EX1 and not Ex1rs and then again my EX1r is relatively new (bought it 3 months ago)

ok after proper check it's not that bad
turns out that after full charge, the Sony EX1r battery lost 20mins over 1 week of standby, that's less than 3 mins a day

I can live with that
