External mic setting question (problem)
When I try to use a NTG-2 or Sennheiser ew 100-ENG G3 lav mic, the recorded sound level is a lot lower than when I use the built in mics. I am using the external setting on the channel where I have plugged in the XLR plug, and leaving the other channel set to internal. Both mics have batteries, and I have tried Mic and Mic plus 48v. Both are on auto. I am not changing any of the settings in the audio Menu. Am I missing something in the set up? Any suggestions will be appreciated!
Thanks, Bill |

Have you checked the audio level settings adjacent to the switches on the left rear of the camera?

And have you set the levels for your external inputs in the menu?
