Picture Profile thread: still active?
Not sure of the protocol here. I posted to a Sticky yesterday (Picture Profile recipes) with a side-by-side comparison of a number of PPs.
Before posting to this thread (if a 39-page, 570-post MAGNUM OPUS can actually be called a 'thread') I was pretty sure that, given the subject's popularity, responses to, comments on and criticisms of my contribution would come in fast and furious. I braced myself for them (criticisms in particular, although I was careful to say that I didn't know much about the subject). Anyway... a day later, and not a whisper of a reply. I've never posted to a Sticky before, so I have to ask: when a thread is "pinned", is it (like a rare butterfly), put under glass, hermetically sealed, etc., with only trained experts allowed access? (if so, how did I get in?) If not... then what? Has two-and-a-half years (the first thread dates back to December 22, 2007!) of Picture-Profile sound and fury finally blown over? Did people exhaust themselves on the subject? Have people got them all figured out now, and no longer need to be concerned with them, or is everyone exhausted, and just no longer cares? If the Sticky above is still 'active', and if you're interested in keeping the conversation going, please check it out. I've got four of six PPs figured out, I think, and would really appreciate advice about the other two. Regards, Malcolm |
