I purchased the Shoe from Camera Exchange in Houston. I found one on BHphoto looks likre the sme shoe Lastolite | Ezybox Cold Shoe for Nikon SB-900 Flash | LL LA2433

Resin
AG All Purpose Product Information 0709

1. First I had to remove the paint in the area that I was going to place the shoe.
2. Removed the paint from the back of the shoe. All the paint does not have to be removed from the shoe or cam area. You want a good contact point metal to metal. If I did not remove the paint from the shoe or cam the bond would be only to the paint on the cam and the shoe making a weak connection.
3. I used a one part resin from Home Depot called Goop to bond the shoe to the cam it takes a full day to cure. The shoe is not going anywhere after the epoxy has fully cured.

If you notice in the pics my mic holder is missing it broke it off at an Awards show last week. Someone must have bumped my cam or I bumped the cam into something. I was using a J-rode that I molded with two shoes one held my wireless mic. I had been using the J-rode for two years. I thought about putting the shoe on the handle like the EX1-r but I thought it would get in my way when I am doing Hand Held shooting.

I will video the process if I have time when I do the Mod to my other cam.
