I can see what you are saying, Chris, but there are still a couple of things that weren't addressed. The first is that many 'films' these days are either shot digitally (Avatar for one) or go through digital scanning for grading etc. Yet there don't appear to be objections to such films appearing to judder more than the films of old.
The second is when both analogue films and digital films (again such as Avatar) are put onto DVD and BluRay nobody complains about them juddering more than in the cinema. All electronic processes, which should introduce the issues that you mention.
