Help installing Clip Browser

For some reason I cannot get XDCAM Clip Browser 2.6 to open on my laptop. Running XPpro, SP3.

After the install the icon is present on the desktop but clicking on it brings up an error "the application failed to initialize properly".

Removed and reinstalled twice with same results. Using icon from inside the Sony folder gets the same results.

I have this running on my desktop with no such issues and from the same install DVD.

Any suggestions?

Do you have the same operating system with the same service pack on your desktop?
Have you tried reinstalling it?
Maybe you should try to set the compatibility mode to other OS.

I haven`t had this problem, so I`m just guessing.
