2.35:1 Aspect Markers for EX1?
Is the any more elegant solutions to having a 2.35:1 ratio aspect marker on the EX1 other then "just tape off the top and bottom of the screen.".
My buddy used to have a screen protector on the LCD of his DVX-100b that had aspect markers on it. Anyone know of anything like that for the EX1? Or any settings on the "Safe Zone" settings? Setting that to 80% looks close on the top and bottom markers, but I'm not totally sure... Anyways, any advice is welcome! |

The top and bottom lines of the 80% safe marker are very close. Gives roughly 23 lines too many top and bottom for 2:35.

can't you just shoot a chart like you do with film? then tape off your lcd monitor.

Good to know. Wish I had known this about a month ago when I started filming my first 2:35 film project! But we have a couple shoot days left, so I'll give it a shot.
