zoom ring question
Hi,
I work with an recently bought EX1R. Great. One thing though: why is the zoom ring so loose? I had a V1 before and thought the ring was great... I know that the EX1R ring can be hooked to a pro wheel system to do the zooming properly, but if you don't have this, is there a way to make it a bit more resisting? Especially at the start..? thx for any tips. |

Well, I don't have a solution, but I experienced the same while upgrading from a FX1. Apart from that camera not having a true manual zoom lens it was quite good for zooming in and out with soft starts and ends!
That zoom ring dampening isn't on the EX1R unfortunately. Maybe with some DIY work one could add a little gear to fit the zoom ring. The gear should be a bit tight so it dampens the zoom ring. Maybe when ill have time ill give it a go! :) |
