Can't fully help you on the market as I've just started looking for an EX3 myself but I bought an EX1 at the end of last year (in Japan though) and it was cheaper than elsewhere. 62 hours, big battery and 8GB SxS for $5300.
EX3 new from my near neighbour new zealand is $8860 AU but that's new. Prob not much help sorry. |

How many batteries? A friend of mine recently picked up an EX3, 2 8GB SxS, 2 U30s, 1 charger, and no case from a rental house that went out of business and was selling off their gear for $6500 which is a steal... The only thing is it had somewhere in the area of 200 hours on it... My guess is you should probably be able to get around $7500 for it, but that's just super ballparking it.

If i decide to sell it..
it would have 2 8gig cards
and 1 small battery plus the charger and all the original cables. I'll have to check the hours but they are no where near the hours of a rental camera since i am the original owner. thanks for your response. appreciate it. greg |

You can purchase a new EX3 for about $8300.
If your EX3 is in mint condition and has less than 50 hours, I would say that you should be able to broom it for $6800 if you can hit enough places to reach the right buyer and deal in person. There is an EX3 on Ebay today that sounds similar to yours and is already over $7K, but includes hard shell case.

Actually you can buy a new EX-3 today for $8,300 AND get a $400 rebate from Sony, which
puts the effective price at $7,900 for a brand new EX-3 |

My wife bought an EX3 from B&H that was delivered around 01-05 and there was no rebate coupon in that package. Do you have to download the rebate coupon or anything?
