XDCAM Transfer 2.10.0 and EX350 Audio
I have a problem listening to audio from the EX350 in XDCAM Transfer 2.10.0. I do not want to upgrade to 2.11.0 since I use optical disk for archive and some delivery and do not have Snow Leopard.
Yesterday I shot clips with the EX350 using SxS and Nano. The clips from the Nano played find since no XDCAM Transfer was needed. But the clips off the SxS had audio but I sounded like Melvin from the Chipmunks for 1 sec then it cut out, if I stopped the clip and started again the same thing. So then I played clips back on the camera and it was fine. Also I put the clip from the SxS with XDCAM Transfer into Final Cut and it played fine. So I think there might be a bug in XDCAM Transfer 2.10.0 with audio from the EX350. Not a problem in the long run but something to be aware of while transferring. I will do more test today and report back. |

2.11 should work fine on Leopard as well as snow leopard. You need to use 2.11 as this supports the 4 audio channels of the PMW-350. Previous EX models have only ever had 2 channels of audio. 2.11 also supports the 35 Mb/s 1440x1080 codec used in both the 350 and EX1R.

Aister I tried 2.11.0 and had problems with Optical disk burning so I went back to 2.10.0.
I will give it a try again. |
