e-LCR Lockable Card Reader (from E-Films)
I haven't used this, or ordered it, because I'm not sure exactly what it is.
I have SxS cards and the MxR-Express card, which I use with Class 6 Transcend cards (and have had zero issues), and I've been happy with these. Is the e-LCR just a reader, or is it actual memory? If it is a reader, what is the benefit of it over the e MxR-Express card? Pardon my ignorance on this item. |

The e-LCR is only an adaptor, similar to the MXR which you already have, except that the SDHC card doesn't push in and push out via a spring, (known as a push push design).
Have you got an EX1 ? Have you tried to push a card and adaptor into the camera slot and at the same time ejected the SDHC card out of the MXR ? If you have then you know why some people don't like the push push. The camera doesn't like it if you've got a MXR/sdhc in the other slot. If you eject the sdhc from slot A, the camera's lcd screen shows slot B with no minutes remaining, even if there's an SDHC/MXR in slot B. Paul.

Thanks for clearing this up, Paul.
I have an EX1. I haven't experienced the popping out of a card as I'm extremely careful about loading and unloading, but I can see how it could happen. I'll stick with what I have for now. |
