Slow motion music video w EX3
Doing music video with EX3.
Were doing 24p and recording at 33fps for a slight Slow motion on final playback Wondering what the best slow motion speed for a music video or what a comon speed is if were seeing the tallent sing the song while in slow motion. Whats too slow? Whats just right. Im thinking its overcrank at 33 for 24p final playback. Last edited by Tyson Persall; November 6th, 2009 at 07:52 PM. |

If you shoot at 30, you can take advantage of 1080 resolution. Going faster than that will require shooting in 720, as far as I know. Also it's handy that the 30/24 overcrank is a nice even number: 80% slow.
Best of luck. |

Really!?
Wait, are you saying i can shoot in 1080 24p with S@Q slow mo at 30fps and get 80% slow motion?
Really? I was under the impression that S@Q only worked in 720p - but thats nice to know. IF this is true then 80% slower would probably look good for this. Then we can record the song at 80% slower for playback during the shoot. Wish i had the camera right now to test this but we dont get it till the day before the shoot.
