I just rerendered the video. I was watching it on a large 1080p TV and realized how bad the old 720 mp4 looked.
Actually the 720mp4 looked fine on my small monitor but it was just too fuzzy on the big TV. So I just did a whole new render as a 25mbps blu ray M2T. Huge file size but it definitely made a difference. The Carnival footage especially looks better. The really low light stuff at the start seems to have gotten less of an upgrade. Never have found a format that seems to hold up as well as the quicktimes all you mac users seem to load. Super small file sizes and yet not a trace of compression artifacts and yet super sharp pictures.
