Help in FCP ,Nanoflash and PMW EX3

I am in trouble. I am away from the city shooting a feature film on PMW EX3 on NanoFlash. All my three cards(SanDisk ExtremeIII) are full. My footage is in QT XDCAM HD 422 100mbps.I have a Mac FCP6.0.1 on location . Files are not opening .I know minimum FCP 6.0.2 is required. Can somebody tell me if I simply copy it in FCP 6.0.1 and later edit it in FCP 6.0.4 the footage is safe?

Since these files are just .mov, copying the files to your drive is independent of FCP. Just copy the files and then edit when you are at computer with compatible version of FCP.

I would copy the files to your Mac then open each in Quicktime. This will let you check each file and also look at Movie Inspector to check the color spacing and bit rate to see if all is well. If you have a external hard drive back them up there so you have two copies.

Is your system missing the XDCAM codecs?

I don't recall which FCP update added them, maybe someone here remembers.

Sorry, but that's all I can think of at the moment.

[PS: Although it doesn't help you now, your situation is why some of us strongly recommend that people test their workflow *before* their shooting event.]
