small stage number - strong spotlight
wonderful how the "old" EX1 handles strong spotlights..
even at f2.0, i think, at the long end... wonder how different the 350 would do this scene... YouTube - Think of Me - Phantom of the Opera - LIVE (Lyrics in español - français - ?? subtitles) |

Yes, but someone should explain the inverse square law to the singer. She held the mic closer to the piano than to her mouth. She certainly has a powerful voice, but her mic even picked up as much noise from the audience as it did her voice.

What a great magic trick, how did you manage to change the brown dress into a black one at the start of the movie?

i was way back in the club, maybe 60 feet??
the onboard was a Schoeps CMIT-5U which i swear by....nice german shotgun if you look again at the video, the top of the yamaha piano is a black pouch, there was a wireless sennheiser EW100g2 and a EW112 G2 Lavalier. i sort of threw things together last minute as i were asked hours before the gala. i should have bought more than one wireless and miked the girl and the boy..... oh well.. paul |
