does hdmi port on "new" ex1r make monitoring footage easier?

does the addition of an hdmi port on "new" ex1r make monitoring footage easier? more accurate?

since the hdmi signal is thought to be "cleaner" can more reasonably priced monitors with hdmi ports be used in the field? in the studio?

i look forward to thoughts from the more experienced hd shooters.

be well

I don't think the HDMI is any "cleaner" than other digital outputs. But it is certainly cheaper than HD-SDI at least on the other end of the cable.
