PMW-EX30 > FCP Via HDV(firewire)
Ok, We have two of these bad boys in our new TV studio. now....
How in the Hell do I get one of them to feed out to final cut via HDV? I understand the idea of recording to sxs (rather mxm ;) ) as we use ex1 and ex3 all day long. We just want to make the studio be able to record the broadcast stream directly to FCP in realtime to be able to expedite the process. Am I stupid or just confused? No settings work at all... i think your better off routing all that through the HDSDI.

Joshua, I think using the HVD depends on how the original material was shot - in the camera I can't output HDV unless I shot in "SP" modes - 1440 as opposed to 1920. Obviously the "iLink" has to be set to on or enabled.
