MxR adapters don't work in Sony card reader?

I tried four different Sony SxS cards in the Sony Card Reader (SBAC-US10) attached to a pc and they work fine as you would expect. I tried six different MxR card adapters each using Sandisk Ultra II 16gb SDHC Cards in the same Sony Card Reader and none are recognized. All six cards have footage on them. Matter of fact I tried them in a laptop and there's no problem whatsoever with any of the six cards. Is there a problem with the Sony Card reader when it comes to using MxR Adapters? If I purchased a MxR USB Adapter MxR USB Adapter would that solve the problem? Thanks.

the Sony Card Reader SBAC-US10, will read Sony or Sandisk SxS cards....not any others. With MxR...you have to use USB.

MxM and MxR (e-films) sell card readers.
Of course the SDHC cards will work in many inexpensive card readers.

Does it matter if I use an adapter for the SDHC card itself or would I be better of going with the e-films adapter that takes the MxR card itself?

David,

It doesn't really matter - just slightly less wear on the card via the efilms/MxM adaptors.

You will get much higher transfer speed with the e-films device.
