Mysterious red flair
I was shooting an interview yesterday and I had this red-orange color come over the person being interviewed for about 2 seconds. It happened twice. There was no moving sunlight, mostly fluorescent overhead. Camera in manual everything, shutter off, gain 3db, peaking and zebra on. Maybe a camera problem? I posted a 10 sec video on Index of / click red_flair.mov It is a project with blind kids.

Sounds like you were confident ATW was off, yes?

Max, I think you got it. I just went through the menu and found White Switch <B>(which I was using) was on ATW. I moved it to MEM. I also noticed Flicker reduce was on AUTO, which might cause some other problem.
Will have to test, but many thanks. Man, there is a lot to this camera. I have been using it for a year and a half, and still it is like a wild horse. It can get away from me. Chip |
