Expanded Focus timing out at DVinfo.net

Hi,

On my EX3 the expanded focus only stays on for about 3 or 4 seconds then switches back to normal view on its own

Is this normal?
Looking in the handbook it gives me the impression it stays on until you switch it off.

My EX1 expanded focus stays on for 4-5 seconds then returns to normal. The manual does make it look like it would stay on indefinitely.

Thanks Michael, I guess its normal.

I assigned a button to Expanded focus and it does the same thing, goes of in 3 or 4 seconds.

Pity you can't adjust the time it stays in expanded focus.

I believe the timing only applies if you do nothing whilst in expanded focus mode. It will hold while you continue to adjust focus, then time out after you stop.

Exactly - the countdown doesn't start until you stop turning the focus ring. I quickly got used to it myself and think it actually works quite well.
