Sony EX1/3 owners smile at this email.....

I got this email this morning as I might do this shoot next week for this producer.....and this
part is what got me:

"Hi Bill,
Glad to hear you have the EX-3. I've been debating on whether to bring my HVX-200 or rent a EX-3 (or EX-1). We did a similar shoot in ATL and used the EX-1 and got great results. I will have to look at the budget to see what I can afford as far as the camera rental.

Thanks for your help."

So, if a producer, who "owns " a HVX-200, and wants to pay extra money to rent the EX3...... it really shows me, how well he really likes his Panasonic HVX-200.........

So, tonight I will sleep better knowing that I have made the right move in getting the EX3.

I Hope all is well with everybody.....

Well to be fair, the HVX isn't really designed to compete with the EX1. The HPX170 is.

there is nothing wrong with trying to get a better image, I really lilke my EX1, but as soon as something better, hope it'll be scarlet, is on the market, it'll be gone for good.
and before I replace my cameras, I always rent for a day or two the one I want to get.
renting other cameras also helps me "sleep better" cuz I don't think, I know I have a camera that is right for me.
but that's me :)
