EX3 baseplate / bar support
Hi there,
Ive scanned through quite a few pages of posts but still cant seem to find the answers im looking for. Hoping somebody, somewhere, has got all the answers. Im looking to find a support plate for the EX3, that will not only allow me to lock into a VCT-14 baseplate, but also give me the option of bar support for using longer 2/3" lenses. At the moment ive tried the triad plate, originally for the Z7, but the locating pin seems to be too small, and the camera itself too rounded a shape at the front end to get significant purchase to the plate. The camera shifts a matter of millimeters at the back end, but this translate to a matter of inches at the front. Basically i need a plate with 1/4" and locating pin on the top, and on the bottom either a wedge for the sony plate, or just a 1/4" and 3/8" thread, all this coupled with a bracket for 15mm bar support at the front end. Does anyone, anywhere know of anything. Its great being able to mount long lenses on the camera, but if you cant support them, and if the camera spins on the sticks, then the disadvantages far outweigh the advantages. Cheers guys and gals, Ollie |

This solution does not combine the rails adapter but the surface area is FAR greater which will give you a much stabler rig in the end. This is on my list of things to get which you can use will any rails system.
It is the 4th item down on the page, the VCT14-Adapter Plate. True Lens Services |
