AV-out problem on Sony EX1

Hi! Got a problem with an EX1. There is no signal coming from the AV-out (composite). Ive tried my best with the menus but I've had no luck. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thank you in advance! :)

Can you describe exactly what you've done?
That may help confirm whether it's just an operator issue or camera issue.
When Sony updated my EX1 firmware to 1.11 I had output problems too. It was a a bad firmware upgrade so I had to have them redo it.

Tell us the menu settings in Video Set menu you have set and think should work and don't.

Also be sure your monitor or whatever you are feeding is correctly terminated.

I was told by a Sony Rep that the EX-1 does not output SD (composite) when the camera is in HD mode.

He said this was fixed in the EX-3.

Has anybody done this?

I have tried to output to a 4:3 SD television for the client to see as a backstage monitor but there was no signal output.

JJ:
Did you set up the menu to have composite out from the AV out connector ?
Go to MENU - VIDEO SET - YPbPr/SDI out select: HD => change to OFF
The composite will display on your composite monitor !

Tim P.:
What do you mean by "the EX-1 does not output SD (composite) when the camera is in HD mode." ?
As above, I can get the composite SD out and Camera set at HQ 1080/60i.
Also I can play from the sdhc card (which shot in full HD) on the EX1.

EX1 printed manual page 103

Down Converter
Set the output mode (aspect) for SD output from the A/V OUT, COMPONENT OUT, and SDI OUT connectors.
___________
HD mode? Camera is ONLY HD.
Tuy has it correct.

I am shooting 720p60 and using the component output for a preview monitor.

The composite connector does not output any signal.

I think this is the "HD Mode" - referring to the component connector outputting an HD signal.

The composite and component connectors do not output signal at the same time with this setup.
