LCD TV For EX1
Hello all,
Wasn't sure where I should post this but i'll go with this forum Looking for a good 32" LCD to connect to the second DVI port of my PC so I can share video (MXF (individual or merged files from EX1) with clients. Connection will be Video Card --> DVI --> DVI/HDMI Cable --> HDMI --> LCD TV I've got a few Samsung, LG, Sharp and Sony models - all 1080P in mind. Anyone doing something similar - any recommendations on a good set? Video will be either 1080P/30 720P/60 or 1080i/60. With the NVIDIA card I have the choice of the cards scaler or TV ofcourse Output software will be either VLC or XDCAM viewer Much appreciated Paul |

Paul, I shoot a lot of Action sports so I went with a 120Hz model. I love my 46'' Sony LCD 1080p 120Hz My EX1 footage looks great!!! Costco had it for 1699.00 for a while then Sony put out a 200.00 rebate less then 6months ago the TV was 2500.00.... Awesome TV!!!

I've done the research . . . this is the best 32" LCD on the market today.

I'm doing this on my MacPro.
2nd DVI out to 46" 1080p Samsung. I can play back from Final Cut Pro or Quicktime. |

Jason, Brian, Craig ! Thank you for your responses !
I am going to go check out those TV's today - have a best buy and Sony store right by my place. I am currently using a Sony 32" CRT which is nice - but going progressive - i've seen some output on just my Cinema Display and a few other LCD monitors and it looks fantastic. Cheers! Paul |

Not sure why you are going for a Television using a DVI-HDMI adapter. Why not simply connect a large computer display from the DVI?
Dell, HP and especially Eizo make very high quality large 30 inch displays. The 30 inch Apple Cinema display is perfect for showing client work. These displays can also do double duty as extra editing screen real estate. |
