Okay, okay - with the caveat that this works for me, not necessarily you... that the detail settings are in a state of flux right now, and that there are different profiles around. Okay, you get the picture: don't shoot me if this doesn't work for you.

And also, big shout (again) to Paul for the base.

Here goes:

Matrix ON - High SAT, Level +25.
Color Correction OFF
White - Offset OFF, but Preset white: one at 2700, I have copies of this PP at 5700 and 7000
Detail ON - Level +1, Frequency +14, Crispening 0, everything else 0, and I need to do some work here
Skin tone detail - OFF
Gamma - Level 0, Cine4
Black - -2
Black Gamma - 0
Low Key SAT - 0

And this is pending a bunch of tests since seeing Alister's preso.

There are simply huge amounts of picture profiles around, lots of talk about a subject, and I am just freaking out because lots of people want a setting that works for them guaranteed, just by dialling it in. Doesn't work that way.

If you do go ahead with the EX3, experiment & test out the 24p before committing. It is very jerky & jittery in movements. Talking heads may be ok though. Check it out with the producers of the project.
