EX1 & EX3 Climbing Mount Everest
There is a very interesting blog about a team climbing Mount Everest.
For video acquisition EX1s and EX3s are in use. The video material is edited at Mount Everest and then sent in HD via satellite to the US. The the whole story here: Behind The Scenes High Altitude Production |

I have to say I too am surprised that Everest is still being covered by film makers as much as it is - once Imax went up to the peak I thought that would be it! Amazing that sponsors are still supporting this very tired but still interesting mountain.
I was in the Himalayas with my Ex-3 in February but I only turned my camera on to the peaks once - and from less than 12,000 feet. |
