BP-U60 efficiency after 1.11 fw upgrade at DVinfo.net

I'm uncertain what has caused this, but both my U60 batteries do not last as long as they used to before the fw upgrade. It so happens that I'm now using a 11" HD field monitor - could drawing the signal out of the component output cause this? Not sure, as I've always had the Component out enabled even without actually hooking up the monitor...

On the other hand, after the fw update I have noticed that with the camera switched off, and the DISPLAY/BATT INFO button pressed, the bars do show the actual battery capacity but regardless of what it actually is, it always reads CAPACITY REMAINING: 0 !!! (or whatever to this effect - don't remember the exact wording of this message).

All this made me take closer look at the EVF battery info (in the upper left corner), and I noticed that it reads some 290 mins right after inserting a fully charged battery, but drops to 270 within several seconds...

Since I wouldn't like to send my EX1 for servicing, could anyone comment on these observations - perhaps this is normal?
