Grrr! Sony didn't update my firmware
I had the battery drain problem and sent off the camera thinking it would also come back with firmware V1.11 - only to find yesterday that it has been updated only to V1.05. Calling Sony this morning they they said V1.11 adds functionality and is not a primesupport feature. I'm furious - anyone know the best place here in the UK to get it upgraded?

David, from what I understand about the EX1's FW 1.11, it is an update that you need to pay for. I seems that you did not ask for the update, and through no fault of your own, did not get it because of the cost involved.
Good luck with the update.

I remember at the time that Sony said they would only upgrade for free before the end of November. Still it seems a bit tight not to do it if they have your camera anyway - it doesn't take long.
If you want to email me, I'm sure I could point you in the direction of the upgrade. N |
