EX1 - Extracting Audio for Podcasts
I am using an EX1 to record in the field, and as well as video, would like to be able to record pieces to camera from which I would make audio podcasts whilst on location. I could import the clips to FCP, put them on the timeline, drag the audio back to the bin then export as an audio file, but I would prefer a more straightforward way of lifting an audio file from the EX1 clip. Is there a way, perhaps using Clip Browser or XDCAM Transfer?
Many thanks, Nick |

1) Import the video/audio using XDCAM Transfer
2) Using Quicktime Pro, open the MOV you want to extract audio from 3) In the menu bar choose File>Export>AIFF This will export as a separate audio file. If necessary you can also trim down the clip from within Quicktime Pro 1) Using Quicktime Pro, open the MOV 2) Use the I and O keys to set in and out points. 3) Then choose Edit>Trim To Selection 4) In the menu bar choose File>Export>AIFF
