Slots reversed
I have a EX-1 that I got about 4 months ago, a demo unit. I just noticed that the card slots seen to be reversed somehow. When the recording slot is indicated in the viewfinder and in the format>execute menu, it shows opposite of what the external slot lights show on the camera. Same with one or two cards loaded.
Anyone else here of this problem? I don't think it was that way when I recieved it, but I can't say for certain, it might have been. I've always had two cards in it and haven't shot a lot of footage with it yet, so I didn't look for something this strange. I'm guessing it's going back to Sony, for that and a general tune up as well. |

Scott, did you buy it used? I heard of someone else who had this issue and it turned out that when he sent the camra back to Sony for the board replacement to fix the Battery drain a tech must have swapped the wires on the card slots so A was B and B was A when puting the unit back together.... Not sure if that user ended up living with it or sending the camera back to them again.

Switched Slots
Yes, this happened to my EX1 after leaving it at Sony in Burbank for Firmware upgrade. I took it back and they corrected it.
