Sony PMW-EX1 on-camera LCD flicker
I am relatively new to video, so please forgive me if this questions seems naive.
I just purchased an new EX-1 and noticed that the onboard LCD display flickers momentarily as the unit powers up. This consists of horizontal green bars of varying thicknesses randomly flickering. Again, this is only momentary, and stops once it's completely powered up. Is this normal? Thanks in advance for you help. Cheers, -Emile |

Excellent. Thanks, Matt. I assumed as much, but I needed to make sure.
All the best, -E |

I have it too. First freaked me out too, it really looks like it's going to explode for a moment!
But then you think it's more of a computer then a camera, so then it's normal. |
