"Cannot Proceed"
Hi,
i was out using my ex3 last night, i went to switch the gain up and got the message ""Cannot Proceed" I then tried the white balance swtich next to the gain switch same error.??? Any Ideas??

you can 'Part' or 'All' disable the external switches and controls by a menu option set up with the top joystick. Not in front of my EX3 or a manual right now (I'm in front of the TV and a nice fire). See the manual for more details....

Rob - The Gain control confused me for the longest time (fortunately, I almost always have Gain on "0" so I never worried about it). As Andy alluded to, go to MENU-OTHERS set your DIRECT MEMU to "PART" or "OFF" (I recommend the former). If your display says "AGC" use your Sel/Set wheel to change it to "0". You should be set to go.

Just to clarify, that is not an error message. It just tells you, in an unfortunately unhelpful way, that you have deselected the option you are trying to access.
