double record?
Is there an easy way to record to 2 hard drives simultaneously?
This provides instant back up with no need to run a copy after the shoot. This would only be used in controlled situations like a sit down interview, not in a fast moving environment. Also, can you record to an external hard drive and to the cards at the same time? Thanks |

I think I've done that... went to the SxS and out the Firewire to Adobe Encore. Only deal was having to set the camera to 1080i SP (HDV)
BUt as I type this I truly can't remember.

Certainly you can record to a Firestore or similar via the firewire when the camera is set to SQ 1080i mode. If you need higher quality you could record the HDSDi output to something like a Convergent flash XDR or a computer with HDSDi.
