EX1 Manual, lens info bar
Gota love these manuals, I know it's there but what do things do?
In particular is the lens info bar, I think I know how to read it but not sure I’m correct. When focusing the line to the left is the start distance and the further one focuses, the greater the distance from the mark all will be in focus. Is this right? Nick |

The little bar that moves, (the bar within the bar so to speak), is the focal point, ie it might be between 7-10 metres, as i see it this is the focal point, everything within 7-10 metres will be in focus.
You'll notice that as you zoom in the little bar gets smaller, ie shallower depth of field/smaller focal point. When you zoom out wide the little white bar gets bigger, ie everything in focus/larger focal point. Paul.

Thanks Paul,
That's what I’m thinking. I use peaking all the time and trust this little bar as a reference point with moving talent. I wish the manuals would give a bit more info rather than state the obvious. Love this camera |
