New Sandisk 32gb Ultra II available

Hi guys, I ordered the 32gb Sandisk Ultra II from Amazon and I pray it works with the kensington and Oz adapters.

But at the $202 amazon is charging, it makes a lot more sense to buy multiples of 16gb cards!

Sandisk has it for $179 but you still can't order it from them.
SanDisk | Products | Imaging Cards | Ultra II SD Cards
Are they actually shipping or did Amazon take a preorder?

I think Ned is right given the price but I have to believe that price is going to drop very quickly.

I think there is a 600 clips limitation for each card the EX1 can support. So if you tend to shoot a lot of short clips, the higher the card capacity the more chance you will hit that limit. But i might be wrong.

It looks like Amazon is gonna actually ship the card soon. I was about to cancel the order but it was too late when I saw what sandisk charges. I will keep you posted.

Yes John you are right - according to the manual if you reach the 600 shot limit, the card will indicate 0 min remaining time and switch to the other card. I once recorded 550 shots on a SxS 32 GB card and I had still about 25 minutes recording time. If I continued shooting the way I was filming I would have reached the 600 shot limit even though I would have not recorded the full 116 minutes (in 1080/50i format). Still it's nice to have just 2 32GB cards inside the camera - it gives you loads of shooting time (especially in run gun type of filming).
