Why is Zoom-Shot-Transition so bad ?
That's nothing new, but something I had to see again the last days.
When using the automatic shot transition for a zoom, with soft start and/or stop there is always a sudden speed change that makes it NOT really soft :) It is however perfectly possible to do a soft speed-ramp with the Zoom controller, which also drives the same gearwheel for the zoom. So it's definitely not a mechanical problem. Must be in the software. I hoped, that would also be fixed with the firmware update. But it isn't. Has anyone ideas to make that work ? I used the feature all the time on my Z1, where it alway worked smooth. Would be great on EX1, too.. Thanks! Peter |

Yep, not optimally implemented. Register your complaint and home Sony will fix it in new firmware.
