Transfer Question
I just got through recording a seminar using 4 8 gig SxS cards with my EX1. When I go into XDCAM Transfer the clips are recognized but will not import. I did not stop recording, so the video spans across all four cards.
XDCAM Transfer recognizes the clips with a .SMI extension. This is the first time I've done this. What do I need to do to import the clips correctly? Thanks, Forrest |

XDCAM-transfer needs to see all your spanned cards at once. Since you have four cards and only two slots this seems to be impossible.
The workaround is this: Make a folder on your harddrive, name it what you like. Inside that folder make four new folders named 'card 1', 'card 2' etc. Copy the BPAV folder of your first SXS card into the folder 'card 1'. Copy the BPAV folder of your second SXS card to 'card 2' and so on. When done, open XDCAM transfer, hit the 'add' button and and select the card 1 to 4 folders at once. XDCAM transfer links the spanned files to one clip. |
