EX-3: No Zebras on Cine 2 Pic Profile?
When I use Cine 2 on my EX-3, it disables Zebras. I'm a latitude freak and prefer cine 2's gamma, but don't want to work w/o zebras. Any thoughts? I searched everywhere in Sony's EX-3 documentation and on this forum.

Had this with an F355 too. I think it's to do with the fact that if the zebra is set pretty high the luminance never reaches that level because the gamma curve tails it off before it gets there (giving you your increased DR).
This is not engineeringly-correct and I'm sure someone like Alister will give a better explanation but I'm sure that's along the right track. What is your zebra set to, I know I noticed it as I was reading for peak whites at about 90% I think. Steve |

The Zebra is set at 100%. Your explanation makes sense. I'll fiddle with the level and see if they return. Thnx.
