EX3 shutter switch error?
Just playing briefly with an EX3 the other day and all of a sudden the shutter on/off switch stopped working.
When I picked it up it was set to Off, I set it to on and it came on, fine. Later I looked at it, the switch was still set to ON but in the VF it said "Shutter OFF". Flicked the switch to Off and it said "Cannot proceed", switched back to On and nothing happened. Olly a reset solved it. Any ideas? Steve |

Had you set 'Direct Menu' to 'All'?

Yes actually, should that matter either way?

That's it. Made the same mistake myself. Direct menu set to all disables some of the buttons and lets you change the settings directly in the menu.

Many thanks. Seems strange for a menu setting to overide a physical switch!
