EX1 and rear projection / video projectors
Looks like I'll be shooting a stage production that'll be using projected backdrops. I have a horrible feeling about this and I will not have an opportunity to test before the show. Should I be using a different camera without a rolling shutter or will the slow reponse time of the projector save the day. Pointing the EX1 at a LCD monitor shows no problems, well none that I can see in the viewfinder.

Can you find out what sort of projector it is? If it is LCD, you should be OK. If it is DLP, particularly with a single chip and colour wheel, expect to see some very strange shading and patterning.
Good luck! |
