Sony Wedge Adapter
Need help!
Working on a mount for EX3 owners, and I need a source for a "Sony wedge-plate" to mount to standard pro tripods. Sure, it can be built, but in order to reduce production costs it would be great to purchase them from an existing manufacturer. Does anyone know of a source? Here's a picture:

I think they are expensive. I went on ebay and did a search for betacam parts. I got a box full of old betacam stuff that had a wedge with it for $12. You may want to search for camera parts of camera's that use that wedge. Some sony's, jvc's and panasonics all use the same wedge and tripod plate.

It's a really easy part to make. I've made a few out of some 5mm flat alloy bar using a hacksaw, file and hand drill.
