The final downhill section on the red run at Ae forest, southwest Scotland:

EX1 1080/50i with shutter set to 1/120. I downconverted to 720p in Compressor, initially with de-interlace set to both which gave a horrible double image if there was any motion. Converted again just using the odd frames which seems to have worked fine.

I am rapidly coming to the conclusion that interlaced is a waste of time as at present there is virtually no HD distribution channel which does not display via a PC. And for downconverting to SD, 720/50p gives as good an image as 1080.
