8 gig card not reading
Help with my laptop, HP, my 8 gig cards seem to stop working when I plug them into my express card slot on laptop, 16's work fine and when I use the 8's in Sony's SxS card reader they work. Tried installing SXS driver again but no luck. Any ideas..? Thx.

Jason,
Are you using Vista Service pack 1 by any chance? Same happened to me with my Dell XMS 1330. THe cure was to install windows XP. Nothing else worked. It seems to be a VIsta problem with some laptops. Mine worked initally with VIsta, but after service pack 1 was installed - the SXS card just would not mount as a drive even though it was listed in devices as working properly. Tried going back to the original Vista - but could not get it to work under any circumstances.
