How do I rename a SxS Card in EX1 or on a Mac?
Hi, maybe a dumb question but I'd like to rename my cards to like CardA and CardB, just to keep track of them when I download to my Macbook Pro in the field.
I tried to rename them in the Mac's finder to that, but got errors upon putting them back into the EX1. I can't find a way in the EX1 to rename them. Does anybody know of a good way to do this? Thanks. |

Use the XDCAM transfer tool or Clip browser.

Thanks. Not immediately obvious, but I figured it out.
The way I did it finally is you have to have at least one clip on the card for the info about the card to show up, including the name. And when you put the card back into the EX1 it asks you you if you want to 'restore' the card, which is scary and what doesn't happen if you don't rename the card. If you reformat the card it goes back to the 'Untitled' name. Thanks for the help. |
