RE the Delkin reader: I just received 2 from Amazon.com (actually was fulfilled by Adorama).
They work like a charm in the EX1 with the San Disk 16 GIG cards, the door closes, and they look and handle just like an SxS card.
The Delkin version I have has the "eFilm" logo as shown here:
Amazon.com: Delkin ExpressCard 34 6-In-1 ExpressCard 34 Card Adapter: Electronics

i just wanted to confirm i got mine today, same ones from Adorama, and they work perfectly.
i may order a couple more, but with these cards, they never need to leave the camera.
so long Kensington and Lexar SSDs.

Steven, just an update

I wrote to DELKIN about my order at Adorama and several other things, here is what they wrote back to me:

"If it is on back order through Adorama then they are probably waiting on a shipment from us which means that the one that they will ship you is the MULTI.

The first generation one we made was the DDEXP34-6IN1-1 and this was the one that the SD/SDHC card sat flush in and would work for the application you want it for. That one was discontinued (I have no idea why) and the MULTI took its place. Apparently we are scrambling to get the first generation ones back because of the “sudden demand” so YES we will be getting the originals back BUT I cannot say when that will be."

BTW, Delkin customer service is really great! They have been very helpful and fast as well.

So the Multi is the new one : DDEXP34-MULTI-1 .....the one to avoid

This is the one people should look for: DDEXP346IN11

any failures?

Have any of you who are using the CF cards had any failures (excepting overcranking)?

Any dropouts, lost files, corrupted files, formatting problems, any type of glitches using the cheap cards instead of the expensive sony SxS cards?

Anything at all?

I ordered early this morning from Aldorama, at the time their website was showing "In stock". Hopefully they'll send the good ones if they send anything at all.

Ed you mean SDHC cards, right?
I have been using them for 2.5 months with no issues.

Yes, ordered two yesterday, apparently a good thing..

I guess we're just bad luck. Why is it every card we find that works gets discontinued.
We're bad luck to a hunting dog I say! lol

Well fingers crossed, Delkin may just revive this card.

I think the "NEW" Delkins will not work at all. The new ones are the ones with the DD logo, the old ones (that do work) have the "e-film" logo.

In the old ones, if you got the shaved card in, you'd never get it out.

The Delkins I ordered looked like they didn't have the DD Logo but were newer. I am hoping I can get at least 4 adapters that work. I don't mind shaving cards but they do have to move pixels. I had placed an order with an Amazon store that indicated they had stock but they lied! My order was cancelled this morning. I think I got a few older Delkins from Adorama but I won't know till they show. I also ordered 2 of the chinese generics but got an email saying it would be 10-20 days before I get them, Damn!

I hope some of the new cards will show up sooner than later.
