JVC will support SxS
Hi Folks,
maybe this is good news: JVC will start an alliance with SONY and support the SxS media. This will be used in the dock recorder KA-MR 100, which will be available in March 2009. So, prices may drop ... (hopefully) Cheers, Eva |

I'm just finding out (after buying two) that the KA-MR100G is not compatible with MxR expresscard adapters which allow you to use SDHC cards instead of the much dearer SXS cards. The Sony EX1 and EX3 are both compatible with the MxR. I had planned to use the SXS recorder as backup on my JVC HM700 cameras which can record to SDHC cards. Seemingly the JVC recorder is PCIe based and the Sony is USB and PCIe based, from what I gather. Does anybody know any more. JVC engineers are not sure themselves what works and what doesn't.
