Is it possible to load MP4 clips back to SxS cards ?

I have uploaded clips I had previously unloaded back to the SxS card and played it back with the EX1. But these were just raw clips, unedited. I was wondering if it's possible to let's say finish a short project, render it to MP4 1920x1080, upload it to a SxS card and play it back with the EX1? Has anybody tried that or know if it would work? Thanks.

XDCAM-EX video is MPEG-2 in an MPEG-4 wrapper. Therefore you would need to render to similar MPEG-2 video that the camera "likes". You would likely also need to create a similar folder structure on the card so the camera finds the clip properly. If the camera can find the clip, it will probably create the needed supplemental files.

Wouldn't it be neat if someone made a program that does that from a standardised format that can be exported from FCP and Avid. That would give you HD-SDI-playback of your edited pieces...
