Sony SW to m2t Question at DVinfo.net

Hi folks. V2 of the sony sw is able to convert directly to mxf and a whole variety of stuff. However I could not find an m2t option for SD stuff from the EX1. How can I skip the firewire capture thingy?

I managed to load files in Vegas which were converted to mxf although it is an m2t. Would it be ok to just rename all the extensions to m2t manually?

Is there a particular reason you need .m2t? I also use Vegas and I've been editing with the .mxf files.

I thought that the HDV format needs to be in m2t. So its ok to convert even 1440x1080 stuff to mxf? Usually I only convert 1920x1080 and 1280x720 stuff to mxf. Come to think of it, you are right! I should be able to stick to mxf.
